Commercial Apprentice, Balfour Beatty
When finishing school Rebecca continued on to A Levels, but after a year she decided this wasn’t what Rebecca wanted to do. Instead Rebecca began working as a Contract Administrator for a local housing association. From here Rebecca was introduced in to construction and decided that was the route Rebecca wanted to take and obtain a career as a Surveyor. Rebecca was given the opportunity to attend college on day release, obtaining a BTEC L3 in Construction. In September 2015 Rebecca joined Balfour Beatty on their Commercial Apprentice Scheme, this involved studying a HND in Construction and The Built Environment, alongside an NVQ L5 in Construction Management. Through an apprenticeship Rebecca gained valuable on the job experience whilst obtaining qualifications and having the ability to earn and learn. Rebecca finished her HND and NVQ in January 2017 and will now continue on to her Degree in September 2017.
