The AAC will take place online via Hopin. Hopin is a virtual venue with multiple interactive areas that are optimized for connecting and engaging. You can learn more about Hopin here: https://hopin.com/
All individuals who’ve registered to attend the conference will be issued with joining links from 21 April. Please follow the steps in the email to activate your registration. You will need to access the event each day via this link.
To access the conference platform, you must ensure you have completed the following steps:
Step 1: I Hopin will issue an email containing a link to activate your registration. The email subject will say “ACTION REQUIRED | Your registration to the Annual Apprenticeship Conference”.
Keep this email safe, you will need it during the conference to access the event!
Step 2: Click on the green “Activate Registration” button in the email. You will reach an email verification page and a verification email will be issued to you.
Step 3: You must head back to your emails and click on the link in the verification email in order to register and join the event. The verification link is active for 10 minutes. After it has expired, you will be issued a new link by clicking on the link in the original email (step 1).
Step 4: Once you have received the follow-up email “You’re in – Annual Apprenticeship Conference 2021”, click on the “Go to event” button. You will then be directed to the conference platform.
Step 5: Once the page has loaded, please click on “create your profile”. This will enable you to complete your profile with items such social media links, bio and a profile image.
Once the steps above are complete you will have full access to the AAC across the week.
If you have not received your link by 17:00 on Thursday 22 April please urgently email firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can ensure you receive your link ahead of the conference starting.
For the best Hopin experience we recommend:
Using Google Chrome or Firefox (Please avoid Brave, Safari, and Microsoft IE or Edge).
Make sure your browser is up to date.
Check your internet speed and network. Hopin recommends a minimum of 5mbps download and 2mbps upload. Ideally, we like to see 30mbps download and 10mbps upload or higher for the best quality.
We recommend attending the event using a laptop or PC, as we cannot guarantee it will work flawlessly on mobile/table device.

The Hopin platform will go live at 09:00 on Monday 26th April and will close at 17:00 on Friday 30th April. Content will commence each day 10:00 and finished at 15:30. Delegates will be able to access the platform at anytime during the conference.
To watch content you’ll need to enter one of our 10 stages at the conference. Stages 1-9 will feature workshops, the AAC Main Stage will feature our daily plenary sessions and Deep Dive Debates.
To watch the stage as an attendee, all you need to do is enter the event and click on the Stage tab on the left side of the screen and then select the stage you wish to watch. You can also access stages from the schedule tab at the bottom of the reception area.
You do not need to pre-book workshops for the conference.
The Expo area of Hopin is the digital exhibitor hall full of AAC sponsor and exhibitor booths.
Yes, attendees can access the booths at any time during the event.
What competitions are running?
We love a competition at AAC! There are a variety of offers and competitions available across the expo area of the conference. Please visit our individual exhibitors to find out what they have an offer.
In partnership with Innovate Awarding we also have two AAC Expo Competitions operating.
All attendees are encouraged to take part in the Conference Raffle for a chance to win some great prizes! All you need to do to obtain a raffle entry is to click the call-to-action button/ register your interest on any of our sponsor and exhibitor booths. The more raffle entries, the higher your chance of winning a prize. For example, by registering interest with 20 sponsors and exhibitors, you will receive 20 raffle entries. Entries are limited to registering once per stand. At the end of the conference, we will raffle the following prizes:
• 1st - Apple iPad
• 2nd - Apple Home Pod
• 3rd - Bottle of champagne
Each of our sponsors and exhibitors have a special letter hidden within their Expo booth. When all collected, these letters will make up an Apprenticeships themed anagram. Please look out for the Anagram submission form provided within the Delegate Goodie Bag and reception area of the conference. Please submit your answers by 17:00 on Friday 30 April. Prizes include:
• 1st - £250 Amazon voucher
• 2nd - £100 Amazon voucher
• 3rd - £50 Amazon voucher
Similar to an experience like FaceTime, the Networking area on Hopin randomly pairs two attendees over a direct video call. When someone clicks the Ready button, the system searches for someone else who has also clicked the Ready button. The two are matched instantly and the video chat begins. Attendees will see a timer countdown on the top side of the screen. When the time expires, the meeting ends. If you would like to continue chatting, you can search for each other in the People section and either send a message or invite to video call. You can also video call delegates by clicking on their profile within the People tab.
Attendees can pair with other attendees as many times as possible during the event.
The Networking area is random, so you are not able to pick who you match with at this time. You can utilize the 1:1 meetings that you can create by going to the 'People' tab of the event, finding the person you would like to connect with, and clicking the invite to video call button.
Recordings of content will be made available one week after the event. Delegates will be provided a login to access recordings, recordings will be available for 30 days
