Chief Executive, FDQ
Terry is the Chief Executive and Responsible Officer for FDQ the specialist Awarding Organisation for qualifications in the food and drink manufacturing industry. Since 2014 FDQs parent company the Food and Drink Training and Education Council (ftc) has supported the meat industry in the design and development of trailblazer apprenticeships for butchers. In 2016 and following approval of the Butchery Standard, FDQ successfully applied for Apprenticeship Assessment Organisation status to offer end point assessments (EPAs) for butchers and spent most of last year developing the testing systems that will apply for apprentices undertaking their EPAs in 2017.
Terry has worked in the further education and skills sector for over 25 years from TECs to SSCs to senior roles at FE Colleges and latterly at AELP until starting at FDQ in 2013. Terry is also Vice Chairman at Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB).
