Paula has worked in the education and skills sector for over 15 years supporting young people and adults improve their skills and access sustainable employment. In her early career Paula managed many education projects aimed black, minority ethnic and refugee communities throughout Europe. She later moved onto to develop the first online and telephone based Careers Guidance Service working in partnership with the BBC and Channel 4 on successful skills for life campaigns addressing the poor levels of literacy and numeracy amongst UK adults. Her most recent work has been on the National Apprenticeship Service whereby she has worked with key stakeholders such as LEP’s, local authorities and some of the biggest employers in shaping Apprenticeship Growth Strategies. She joined City and Guilds in April 2016 to support colleges, providers and employers understand the key elements of the Apprenticeship Reform to support the growth of the programme to 3m by 2020.
