During his time at Pearson, Gary has worked in a number of roles including developing relationships and accounts with national employers, project management and Stakeholder Relations.  He is currently responsible for supporting Pearson’s UK business in implementing the Apprenticeship reforms and developing strategic and stakeholder relationships within the vocational arena.
Gary joined Pearson from retailer Sainsbury’s where he was responsible for the implementation of their skills strategy, managing 10,000 Sainsbury’s learners, growing Apprenticeships from eight to 300 learners within three years; creating a fully mapped, embedded and accredited programme, and launching an online skills for life programme.
His background enables him to bring a real perspective to working with employers and an in-depth understanding of their requirements in delivering work-based training, development and accredited products and services.
Gary’s has also worked within a Private Training Provider, and started his career in Staff Learning & Development at Wyevale Garden Centres.
